1. Measure up

The most important part of the artificial plant buying process is figuring out what can actually fit in your space. Work out where you plan to put your plant, then get measuring! Take note of the width and depth of your chosen spot and remember to consider the height as well. A big, bushy frond might suit the depth of a corner in your living room, but if you’ve got art on the walls or a window, consider that the height of the plant may be an issue. Factor in the shape of the plant. A tall heneken will look great peeking over the edge of your sofa, whereas a wide palm plant of the same height will be mostly obscured.

3. Blend in
