We invited a small number of Linen Lovers and shoppers into ‘Kingston’ - a six-bedroom breezy coastal home in Mornington, Victoria by Cahill Building Group. It was the perfect setting to launch our Spring/Summer 24 coastal inspired collection - with columnist, writer and interior stylist, Heather Nette King, hosting the tour, and talking guests through the home and design choices of each room. Guests had the opportunity to speak with Heather about new season products and décor showcased in the magnificent double-storey home, enabling them to get real-time decorating advice.
The Collection
Our Spring/Summer collection beautifully encapsulates the essence of Mornington, effortlessly blending charm with a relaxed ambiance.
In an ode to the coast, shells, sea life motifs, palms and sun prints are present throughout, while the colour palette uses tranquil blues, soft peaches, and neutral tones. Design is in the details, with frills, scalloping, and intricate embroidery elevating the breach retreat look and feel.
Each piece transforms your home into a sanctuary - inviting you to unwind and embrace the relaxed beauty of coastal living.
The Meal
Following the home tour, everyone was treated to a gourmet brunch by acclaimed chef, Simon Tarlington. Simon’s CV includes some of Mornington Peninsula’s best restaurants including Paringa Estate and Doot Doot Doot. Across three elegantly styled long tables, Simon prepared a shared delicious feast for guests, vintage garden party style. Local Mornington Peninsula wine will be poured courtesy of Spritzecco and Range Life Wines, including a Yuzo Spritz and a Davidson Plum Spritz to complement Simon’s menu. The home’s stunning pool also provided a beautiful backdrop for guests to gather and chat about the home tour experience.
